🧠 Topics Covered During the Training:
- Overview of IMCI strategy and global significance
- Assessment and classification of common childhood illnesses (pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, malnutrition, measles, ear infection)
- Identification of danger signs and decision-making on urgent referrals
- Case management of sick children under five using IMCI guidelines
- Counseling caregivers and improving home-based care
- Growth monitoring, immunization, and follow-up protocols
- Practical sessions and clinical simulations for real-case scenarios
- Coordination and communication within health facilities for effective IMCI delivery

✅ Impact Achieved by the End of the Training:
- 23 frontline health workers strengthened their capacity to provide quality integrated care to children under five.
- Participants demonstrated improved ability to identify and manage childhood illnesses using the IMCI protocol.
- Participants developed better skills in caregiver counseling and clinical documentation.
- The training reinforced the importance of timely referral and community-based child health services.
- A strong step forward in reducing under-five morbidity and mortality in Baidoa district.
