🗓️ 5-Day Training Program

📚 Topics Covered During the Training:

  1. Roles and responsibilities of Community Health Workers
  2. Identification and referral of common health problems in the community
  3. Health promotion and disease prevention at the household level
  4. Nutrition screening and malnutrition referral systems
  5. Basic maternal and child health awareness
  6. Community-based surveillance and reporting
  7. Hygiene promotion and WASH education
  8. Communication and counseling techniques with community members

✅ Outcomes and Impact of the Training:

  • All 35 participants gained essential knowledge and tools to serve as frontline community health actors.
  • Increased awareness of early detection and timely referral of priority health issues.
  • Enhanced ability to deliver key health messages and promote behavior change.
  • Strengthened linkage between health facilities and communities for improved health access.
  • The training contributed to improved primary healthcare coverage and early intervention efforts in Baidoa.
