As part of its continued emergency response to the devastating floods in Hiran Region, HIDIG, with funding from UNICEF, expanded its hygiene kit distribution to additional rural villages heavily impacted by displacement and contamination of water sources.

Total Reached: 4,500+ Households
π¦ Hygiene Kit Contents per Household:
- 3 Water Buckets
- 2 Plastic Water Containers (with caps)
- 5 Bars of Soap
- Chlorine Water Purification Tablets

π Purpose:
The distributed kits are crucial for reducing the spread of waterborne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, and typhoid, especially among vulnerable women and children residing in displacement sites without proper sanitation infrastructure.
πΈ Community Impact:
The attached photo from villages shows women seated with hygiene kits during the distribution process. The turnout reflects both the urgency of the situation and the strong community engagement facilitated by HIDIGβs field teams.

βOur teams have reached some of the most remote and hard-hit areas, thanks to the support from UNICEF. The kits are providing immediate protection to thousands of people who lost everything due to the floods.β
